Hey! I'm Galen, the Founder of Strange Loop Systems. Our Mission is to be a one stop shop for integrating AI into the ICP ecosystem. We will achieve this by developing a framework for Custom Deep & Reinforment Learning Smart Contracts, in addition to Decentralized Dataset Curation.

Strange Loop WTF?

According to Cognitive Scientist Douglas Hofstadter, strange loops are an emergent phenomenon in human consciousness in which the complexity of symbols in the brain inevitably lead to self-reference. He argues that over time, through these self-referential loops, the ego arises as our experiences cultivate our cognition and, in turn, shape our sense of self.

To no suprise, the link between Cognition & AI draws parrellels in areas such as reinforcement learning which rely on these self-referential feedback loops to optimize an RL Agent's behavior. It becomes more interesting however, that ICP adopted "Agent" as the nomenclature for intracanister communication, as we envision a world where, through RL on ICP, a smart contract could learn and behave autonomously.
